Student Services

Serving Students With Varying Abilities

Our school recognizes the value of all students of all abilities as image bearers of God. We believe God intended us to live together as an integrated body of believers, and we are committed to providing the best Christian education for every student. We strive for full inclusion of all God-given abilities. In recent years, VCA has begun the process of welcoming and educating students with a wider range of educational differences.  While we are a smaller school and can not provide all services, we hope to continue growing in becoming a school that more reflects the educational diversity in the Kingdom of God.

Education is not a one-size-fits-all experience. For K-12 students who need additional resources to thrive, we partner with them and their families to craft an individualized plan. Students are brought a greater awareness of both their skills and struggles, so they can effectively advocate for themselves. Our goal is to create as much inclusion as possible, while also best meeting each student’s needs. These programs are fluid, meaning students can receive help in certain subjects, while using God-given gifts to thrive in others. Additional support can be provided in the classroom, small groups, or in one-on-one sessions with Student Services team members.

VCA partners with Fort Zumwalt School District to provide the following services for students who qualify:

  • Speech and Language
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Academic Support

If you have a child with varied abilities and are looking for Christian education for your family, we would love to talk with you! Our Students Services team can collaborate with you to see if we can best support your child. We are currently servicing students with Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cognitive Impairment, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder. Our team is involved in the admissions process for students with identified needs and takes into consideration the level of support we can provide for your family.
