“Our Athletics taught us to depend on God and let Him equip us. Although athletics tempt us to be prideful, God gives us skills to give Him glory. He gives us the skills and mental strength to accomplish anything that He ordains as Paul says in Philippians 4:13…For a long time, I thought my worth was reflected by my accomplishments, but as I recovered from sports injuries, I realized the immense grace I have been given by God. I appreciated God’s provision in my life, and I stopped focusing on myself.”
